Brief Introduction
2nd International Business Conference and Exhibition (IBCE) 2017 of UMT grabbed the attention of more than 150 exhibitors and leading business groups from Pakistan and abroad. Aforementioned event was held on October 28 – 30, 2017 at the Lahore Expo Center. Under the umbrella of IBCE 2017, business communities showcased new and innovative products, technologies and services through stalls, videos and promotional marketing material. The 3-day event drew business gurus, entrepreneurs and CEOs from leading national and international companies. Countless business networking opportunities, a rare convergence of buyers, investors, suppliers and technology partners turned the IBCE 2017 into a mega event. IBCE 2017 provided a platform to national and international business groups to share their productive knowledge on a large scale.
Conference
The conference comprised of several speakers from China, United Kingdom, Japan, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Niger, Turkey, Denmark and USA. Speakers included representatives from several sectors including academia, industry and government. Sessions were mainly based on Business Transformation and Challenges for Top Leadership, Role of Technology in Emerging Markets, Pakistan’s Rising Textile Industry, and Business Challenges for Young Entrepreneurs, Government, Academia and Industry Linkages, Social Innovation, Higher Education and Environment, CPEC and Technology Transfer.
Exhibition
The exhibition comprised nearly 170 stalls by various exhibitors. Businesses represented in the exhibition included company displays from the sectors of automobile, textile, manufacturing, services, housing and construction, food and agriculture. A B2B meeting segment was organized where the Turkish, Chinese and other foreign businessmen held substantive meetings with their Pakistani counterparts. Escorted visited were arranged for the TUMSIAD delegation from Turkey to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab.
